Do you know the feeling when you arrive home? Not any home but the house where you were raised. The house where you know you belong and where you are loved. That was my first impression when we arrived at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. To be invited home, to my Father’s house, was a dream for a long time and HIS house ministries made this a reality. We were blessed to join them in November 2022. It was an exceptional experience, with wonderful teachings from the bible.
Sakkie and Leandra oriented us in old Jerusalem, and we really felt comfortable walking and experiencing all Jerusalem has to offer. The tour made provision for a lot of time on our own, to go back to sites if you want to spend more time in prayer, or you might want to visit other sites that you passed. It was an experience where you really felt at home and where you can connect with God in His house. Our whole family had the privilege to join, and we all returned with a burning fire to do more.
To do more for the Kingdom of God and build a better relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Bible is now a reality, in a world, we experienced and understand better. When reading the bible you can understand the location, the circumstances, and what it looks like. Thank you to all from HIS ministries as you made a huge difference in our lives. This was a pilgrim tour through the bible, with spiritual growth and meaning. We would like to join you again in the future.
May God bless each person in future tours and bless you all at HIS house ministry with the wisdom and energy to keep the tours going.
Visiting the ancient land of Israel leaves an indelible footprint on the soul. The first time I visited the site where Jesus preached his famous Sermon on the Mount, we drove through an orange grove. For years and years afterwards, I experienced the waft of orange blossoms as I read what I consider one of the most beautiful passages in scripture. Obviously, I have yet to be convinced that visiting the promised land is not a faith changer!
It is also true that following in the footsteps of the historical Jesus in the twenty-first century is no mean feat. Not just in our own personal lives, but especially when visiting his homeland. Iconic sites, ancient excavations, epic Jerusalem all vie for one’s attention, time, and money. Where to begin? What to see? Where to stay? Who to believe?
When I returned there thirty years later with my family in 2022, I was obviously both nervous and excited. Yet it was everything and more I could ever have asked for. Sakkie and Leandra’s HIS HEART TOUR TO ISRAEL ticked all the boxes! Walking prayerfully, thoughtfully, and respectfully through the ancient streets and famous gates of the Old City of Jerusalem exceeded expectations. Climbing Masada, swimming in the Dead Sea, visiting Magdala, Nazareth, Caesarea Philippi and sailing on the Sea of Galilea were no pitstops. Still, moments thoughtfully carved out for us to experience the life and times of Jesus afresh!
All in all, the wonderful balance of free time, organized time, family time and alone time was perfectly crafted to ensure an unforgettable experience. I cannot thank them enough and I cannot recommend this tour more highly!
These tours aren’t just about sightseeing, although it is a very beautiful country and a very big bonus!
But going to Israel is about something deeper. It’s about experiencing God’s heart in His land.
And that is exactly what I experienced!
Being on this tour with Pastor Sakkie and his family allowed me to connect with God on a deeper level than I could only have dreamt of. I felt at home and at peace in His presence.
He showed me His heart, His love, His hand of providence and so much more!
I will forever be grateful for God inviting me to His land.
My experience in Israel is one that I will never forget. I am a new being because of this experience.
I got to experience the love and embrace of the people of Israel. What a beautiful place is full of breathtaking features.
One day we visited the prison where Jesus was kept the night before His crucifixion and we were taught through scripture about the Lord’s journey before He was crucified. The Lord went through so much pain and suffering. He willingly laid down His life for us. This made me realize that there is no better love than the love of God and therefore I will not take my salvation for granted. I will fully live for Him Who died for me.
Thank you, Jesus,🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
